Choose Ammonia from Yara, the world's leading manufacturer
You can be assured of safe, timely delivery of consistent quality Ammonia. We have plants across the world and our teams can transport Ammonia via deep sea, inland navigation, road or rail. If you have low storage capacity, our network of production sites and terminals ensure smaller batches get to you at exactly the right time.
Choose the Ammonia grade that suits your industry
- Anhydrous ammonia – Ammonia in its purest form: undiluted extra dry (high purity grades) or conditioned with water (to reduce the risk on stress corrosion within your installations). Yara is able to supply anhydrous ammonia as a compressed liquid or cryogenic.
- Ammonia solution or aqueous ammonia – Ammonia in a solution dissolved with water in different concentrations. The most common concentration is 24,5% w/w. Yara is able to supply Aqueous Ammonia up to a concentration of 33%.
Whichever grade you choose, we will provide you with the technical support you need so that your Ammonia handling is cost efficient and meets the highest safety requirements.
How Ammonia can be used
Ammonia is used in fertilizers but also in a wide range of industrial applications. Several industries rely heavily on it, including:
- Automotive
- Textile
- Healthcare
- Cosmetic
- Household goods
- Animal nutrition
- Nutrition
- Plastics & resins
- Electronics
Ammonia for NOx control
NOx control systems are required in most energy intensive manufacturing plants. Ammonia solution is widely used in NOx control systems, largely because it is much more efficient than urea. Find out how we can help you reach high NOx emissions reduction levels thanks to ammonium hydroxide. See more on NOx emission reduction for industry
How we produce Ammonia
Ammonia is produced by directly combining hydrogen and nitrogen with a catalyst.
