Kristine Ryssdal

EVP & General Counsel

Ms Ryssdal (born 1960) has served as Executive Vice President & General Counsel since July 2021.

She previously held the position of EVP HR & General Counsel (2020-2021) and EVP General Counsel (2016-2020). Before joining Yara, Ms Ryssdal held the position of Vice President Legal at Statoil (2012-2016). Prior to this, Ryssdal was Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (2008-2012), Senior Advisor Commercial & Legal Affairs at Norsk Hydro / Statoil Hydro (2006-2008), Legal Counsel at Norsk Hydro (1998-2006), and Attorney at the Attorney General’s office (1987-1998). Ms Ryssdal holds a Master of Laws degree from the London School of Economics, in addition to a Law degree from the University of Oslo.
